For your eyes only

Eyes are windows to your soul. And you know what helps you draw people’s attention to your eyes? Eye make-up! It can be simple or as elaborate as you want it to be. Learning how to do it is important especially if you want to look professional or stylish while keeping a tight budget. Eye-make up can do amazing things since you can easily manipulate it to match your over-all look.

Basically, you will need a few products to complete the eye make-up application. These products are eye liner, concealer, mascara, eye shadow primer, and  2-3 eye shadow tones. You may also add false eye lashes for a more dramatic experience.

All of these products are available in department stores, drug stores, and on online shops. If you’re a beginner, you may ask beauty consultants on the right shadows and tones for you. And since you are still about to discover the best for your eyes, better buy less expensive products first before investing on the right one.

Now, let’s take on the process. Start by applying the foundation and concealer to even your skin tone. Eye shadows are usually bought in 3 shadows from light to dark. Apply the lightest shade to your brow bone, inner corners, and the upper part of the eyelid. The medium shade is applied towards the inside corner. The darkest shade will go out in the outer area of the eye to add dimension.

Next, you will apply the eyeliner to the top of your eyelid starting from the middle of your eye towards the
outer corner of the eye. To make your lashes look fuller, put small and light strokes of mascara on your lashes. You can do more than one coat to achieve the volume you want. Then you can add false eyelashes if you have thin lashes. Voila, you're now ready to see the world.

Men have the right to be vain, too!

In our not-so-sexist society, it has been an acceptable norm that women are entitled to vanity. They are allowed to apply as many different kinds of facial wash as they want to. However, when men enter the world of vanity they are judged as being so gay unless you are an actor.

Vanity does not merely mean that you’re being gay. It’s a means of taking good care of your manly beauty. So boys, worry no more because you are entitled to be vain because you have the right to take good care of yourself particularly your face. Who knows your Cinderella is coming your way! You would not want her to see you haggard as a cow.

Here are some tips for you, Dude:

Shave regularly. At times, five o’clock shadow is attracting as it connotes mystery and intrigue. For some it is more masculine to grow beard. However, it becomes a disaster often times. It would be better to maintain a clean-shaved face.

Pamper your nails. Once in a while you’ll have to visit a salon in order for your nails to be manicured. It’s neater and more presentable to apply colorless nail polish.

Do not be afraid to use moisturizer. Like women’s skin, yours also need to be moisturized to keep it healthy. No gender is excused of having wrinkles.

Use facial cleansers instead of soap. Facial cleansers also make your skin healthier. Using soap for the face is discouraged as its ingredients are stronger when compared to cleanser. You’ll have fewer breakouts if you’ll start using facial cleansers.

Concealer is not exclusively made for women. If you have imperfections like pimples and blackheads then you may apply concealer to hide them.

Unleash the natural beauty in you…

Tired of having to spend too much time on too much make-up? It’s time to face everyone with your natural beauty… without spending too much money on high-end beauty products. You should know the beauty secrets in keeping that natural beautiful face while solving some recurring problems.

First thing you should know is what type of skin you have. Is it oily, dry, or a combination of both? The second secret is to keep yourself hydrated. Drink plenty of water to ensure harmful toxins are removed from your body. As taught even before we reached first grade, we should drink a minimum of seven to eight glasses a day. Other organic teas are also made as an alternative for anti-oxidant.

Seeing those puffy eyes in the morning may force you to cover it up with heavy foundation. But stop! Simply applying a cold spoon under those eyes will save you from skin damage. So start keeping some spoon in your freezer for the morning.

When going out on a sunny day, be sure to apply those sun screens with UV protection made of natural ingredients. For those who have oily skin, a heavy moisturizer is no longer needed. You can use those that contain avocado. When exfoliating, consider more gentle options like sugar and avoid those that can be abrasive.

If you have those oily zits, the best kept secret is applying lemon, avocado, and nutmeg for blackheads.
Now the most important secret for keeping your face and your body fresh is not denying yourself with enough sleep. When you sleep well, you’ll feel better and look your best. During our sleep, our body system process most of our waste which includes our skin. The secret is to not sleep and wake up on the same day.
